Procedure of Spices Board Registration

Step 1. Online Application
  • Registration:
    • Complete an online application on the government portal.
    • Provide essential details such as Import Export Code (IEC), mobile number, and email ID.
  • Verification:
    • Verify the provided mobile number and email ID.
    • Proceed to fill out the online application form.
Step 2. Documents Uploading
  • Obtain Application Number:
    • Complete Part-1 of the form to obtain a unique application number.
  • Upload Documents:
    • Log in using the application number.
    • Upload all necessary documents, including a photograph, in the prescribed formats.
    • Ensure accuracy, especially with the Import Export Code (IEC) details, as the Spices Board issues the Certificate of Registration for Exporters of Spices (CRES) based on this information.
Step 3. Payment via NEFT
  • Make Payment:
    • Ensure all details are filled and documents are uploaded before making the payment.
    • Note that edits to the application form can only be made before payment processing.
  • Government Fees:
    • New Manufacturer Registration: ₹715,000 + 18% GST.
    • Merchants: ₹10,000 + 18% GST.
Step 4. Verification by Spices Board
  • Forwarding Application:
    • After successful payment, the application is forwarded to the relevant Regional Office for verification.
  • Discrepancies:
    • If any discrepancies are detected, the application will be returned for rectification and resubmission.
  • Processing:
    • If documents are in order, the application undergoes processing at the Head Office and then routed back to the respective Regional Office for further proceedings.
Step 5. Issuance of Spice Board Certificate (CRES)
  • Completion of Registration:
    • Once the registration process is completed at the Head Office, the Certificate of Registration as an Exporter of Spices (CRES) is issued.
  • Download Certificate:
    • The applicant will receive a login ID and password to download the CRES certificate.
    • Applicants can track the status of their application online using the unique application number assigned to them.
